SATA vs NVMe SSD — What's the Difference?
By MyStorage.lk Team

SATA SSDs are limited by the SATA interface to around 550 MB/s. NVMe SSDs connect via PCIe and can reach over 7000 MB/s on Gen4 — more than ten times faster.\n\nFor everyday tasks the difference is noticeable but not dramatic. For gaming, video editing and heavy workloads, NVMe is a clear upgrade. Most modern laptops and desktops support M.2 NVMe slots.\n\nNot sure if your device supports NVMe?
